Abstract

With numerous humorous, satirical or fantastical-grotesque techniques, Branko Ćopić and his books first and foremost followed the initial and primordial, which is humour that opens up to the potential of language itself. This writer’s repertoire of such ”creative laugh in the being of language” is diverse and it certainly draws him nearer to simple comical forms such as witticism, anecdote or modern-era joke.
